    I will be soon, I am having problems identifying my birds as well, seems like every book or magazine I read says something different so I get confused. the only ones I am pretty sure on are my Brahma's and thats because of the feathery legs. I will have to get some pics and upload.

    Broody Hen Thread!

    I have two grey-ish Brahmas, does anyone know if they tend to go broody and with it being almost end of July in N.E. Ohio is it too late for them and the potential peeps? also IF she does, do I separate her from the rest of my hens?

    thanks that's what I figured, I'm planning on separating the extra roo's and either selling them or.... does anyone know the best way to see if your hens are still producing eggs since I work during the day and rarely see which hens are actually laying?

    What's happening from the N.E.? We live in Mahoning County up by the Pa. line in Poland , Ohio. We've had chickens for 3 - 4 mos. now and are obsessed. Looking forward to exchanging pics, ideas and experiences with you all!
