I'm not opposed to an extra rooster :) Can't wait for chick ordering time! Going to try and find someone who will go in on an order with me, since 25 is a little over what I want. :)
He will be out soon! I hope you didn't say this and forgive if you did, but which shelter did you go to? We got our cat from the Tacoma humane society last October. The cat area was pretty nice! I didn't end up looking at the dog area, since we don't need a third dog!
Hi neighbor!!! I'm...
Nevermind, missed a page on their website, before I posted this. You have to get 25 of one breed. If you get a few different of the breeds to get to 25, they tack on a charge. Guess I'll just go with Murray McMurray or Ideal.
You don't have to request the "rare breed", they will just send it, right? Thinking of going with this hatchery when we get our chickies in the spring.
I'll have to check out Ideal Poultry ... I'm in Washington state, so I want to find a place close-ish to me. I saw there was one in California, but can't remember the name of it. Will just have to pay extra for faster shipping :)
Glad I found this thread! We are getting chickens next spring and it's looking like ordering online will be cheaper, for what I want. Which hatchery do you guys suggest using, since efowl seems so horrible? I'm in Washington state. I like the dual purpose grab bag ... Should I look into Murray...
I was looking online and found a hatchery called efowl.com .... Just wanted to know if anybody has used this place and what the customer service was like, and any other tips I should know about. :)
I can move this to the correct forum, if you tell me where that is.
Thank you!
I really like scratch and peck ... Can't beat local, either! Off to see what feeding chickies fermented food entails. A few feed stores around me get the Australorps in regularly, or will order for me, so I have done my research there. Making friends with the feed store owners now, so next...
