I have a barred rock who has been sick going on 4 days now. She has been laying down and won’t walk very often. She is eating and drinking (although not as much), and is having light green poops. Her comb is bright red. She has been on a break from laying. We are in Texas and it was very hot so...
I have a hen who is lays a poopy egg almost everytime she lays. She still lays almost daily. She’s also gassy. If you pick her up she will let out gas. None of my other chickens have had any of these problems. I regularly put ACV in their water. She seems happy and heathy. No signs of parasites...
I thought it’d be fun to share some egg pics! We’ve had 4 new layers this week! I’m having so much fun with all of my different colors. In this pic I have eggs from my Easter eggers, Welsummer, Blue copper marans, Brahma, lavender Orpington, Barred Rock, Blue Australorp, Black star, gold star...

Hey everyone! I received some chicks today from Hilltop farms. One unfortunately was dead. Two of the ones I ordered were a black australorp and also an olive egger. Can anyone else me identify this chick? It’s either the australorp or olive egger. Thank you!
