    I have a bag of calcium that I bought for mixing in with salts for deer, that I will mix a little in when I fill my feeder. I also save all of my eggshells and use an old coffee grinder to make them into powder to do the same with.

    Mine will only eat the guts and seeds of a fresh pumpkin. Earlier this year, I gave them the left overs of cooked squash we scraped out and they pecked those down to nothing.

    Teach your chickens to hunt them. I use those little live traps, where the mouse crawls in and the door flips behind it, when I get one, I shake it to disorient the mouse and drop it in the coop. I haven't seen a mouse in months, but I randomly walk out to see something like this.

    I re-homed this rooster to a friend whose free range flock was having large furry predator problems and whose hens were constantly fighting after their 12 year old rooster died. She said she hasn't had a fight or a coyote since so he must be working out.

    Have you tried scented candles or maybe playing some Barry White in the coop? Its possible that his junk never fully developed.
