    what does it mean when a rooster kicks the hens out of coop??

    We recently purchased 6 hens yesturday, and a rooster. 3 of our hens went into the coop at dusk. Our rooster then went in and pushed them back out. Does. Our dominant. Hen need. To lead the way? Maybe more time is needed? Please help.

    Feel free to voice ur opinions on what we should name the coop! My wife told me back in the spring that she wanted some laying hens and after a lil thinking over i agreed. I love building things this was a chance to build a lil house. The two main things i thought of was how i wanted to clean it...

    My wife wanted to get some chickens and i got to design and build a coop. At first i wasnt too into it but then things changed while i was building this thing and cant wait to get our first hens. (Maybe a rooster too if the wife will allow it) :-)
