Thank you. I wish he were friendlier. He wants nothing to do with us until we have ice cubes or Cheerios for him. Right this minute he’s standing at the patio fence begging for treats. He’s such a stinker.

Our Sebbie, Gus Gus, loses his mind every time I sneeze. I can even be in the house and if he’s anywhere near the house he hears me and HONK! HONK! HONK! It’s rather amusing. He’s even woke up a couple times at night just to honk at my sneezes. Does anyone know why he does that? I have a brown...

How do I improve hatch rate?

I have a Hova-Bator 1602N still air incubator. I put 5 goose eggs in five weeks ago and only one made it to hatch. Two must not have been fertile, one looked like it had started developing then stopped around two weeks and another had a blood ring around that same time. I've followed incubating...

    Hello

Thank you for all the welcomes. Our flock has expanded a bit, again. We have four little turkeys and two little goslings now. Two of the turkeys and one of the goslings were hatched by our very broody Taco. Well, we took the goose egg from Taco when her eggs hatched and put it in the incubator...

    Types of geese

This is the oldest with dad. He is VERY protective of the littles.

    Lookers? Maybe?

Oh! And dad is very protective of the little. Mom doesn't care much for him/her though. I'm not sure what's up with that, maybe some jealousy? Is that even possible?

    Types of geese

We have a brown Chinese goose and a smaller sized Sebastopol gander. We've hatched two of their eggs so far, the first is about 6 weeks old and the second hatched Friday. So far the goslings are cute, but really what gosling isn't cute, but I'm dying to know what they'll look like at maturity.

    Lookers? Maybe?

Update: so far he/she is adorable. Looking more like mom than dad but we are still hoping for some of that Sebastopol fluff.

    Lookers? Maybe?

We have a 1 year old brown Chinese goose "Sue" that needed a "friend" so she would stop "friending" my feet. (aaawkward) So, we got a gorgeous 2 year old Sebastopol gander "Gus" to be her friend. Well, as geese do they've made a ton of fertile eggs. We've mostly been using the eggs for baking...
