    is this a good COOP?

I agree with what was said by others, this is not an appropriate chicken coop, and its probably quite expensive too. You should just build one yourself, its really not that hard. You probably have some experience with chickens already and you can make use of them when building a proper chicken coop.

My New Chicken Coop With Pictures

It will do the job but it has a few flaws. But dont worry, it takes a few tries to get it perfect. I would recommend adding some flooring and maybe some insulation.

    Stinky run. What to use?

a sloped floor helps with the drainage, and you can just wash it with some water and dry it off you can also use straw or hay, but I don't use any of that things because I have a sloped floor and if the coop is wet the sun also helps to dry it off (I built the coop on a location where it gets...

hey mebopo, I don't have much time on my hands atm, so I'm just gonna answer question number 6 I have talked about making your own chicken coop in my blog (link in my signature), it's much cheaper than buying one and it's not hard to build at all, just check the blog out and see if you find any...

How many silkies could this hold comfortably ?

you will probably need to modify it more than just adding the insulation, but it looks like a fair enough deal hope it works out well

How to rid my yard of flies?

I wouldn't recommend sevin dust, it contains carbaryl which is toxic to humans and is carcinogen. I don't belive it's safe for chickens. There are other ways to get rid of flies that are safer.

How to rid my yard of flies?

This is what I used: A closed plastic bottle with 3 holes in the upper half of the bottle, inside the bottle was water with some vinegar/honey/wine etc. I tried some stuff and I think a bit of wine added to the water worked best, there was another one that worked really well but I can't remember...

    Free ranging...

I don't free range, but a friend of mine does he locks the flock inside through the night and lets them out early in the morning, he had some problems with the dogs and even some foxes though, so sometimes he even put the chickens inside if he was away, but he doesn't do that anymore since he...

    Opinions/suggestions wanted

I have left my coop open a few times and nothing happened, probably because I took good care of predator protecting it if I understood your right, you would leave the coop open at night, but not all night, just when you are out for a bit and come home later at night if that's it, I don't see a...
