    I use chicken wire and lay it in my beds over the winter. It seems to deter our neighborhood kitty. I love that kitty because he brings me lots of dead mice!

    Most of them except the really big ones can be grown on a cattle panel arch over the raised beds. Use an onion sack or some kind of sling once they get big, to hold them up.
