    It would be very convenient to keep the fermenting feed bucket in the coop, but is it too hot? What would happen to it at a higher than room temperature? It's a long way from my house to the coop...

    I just started using them yesterday. I can hear them. They are solar powered and emit a beep every few minutes. The chickens and ducks seem fine with them, but I don't know if it has really run off any critters either. :)

    New feathers growing in weird in my juvenile Rouen

    Could you help me figure out what is going on with my juvenile rouen's wing feathers? They started growing in weird two weeks ago (he's 6 weeks old). They stick out from his body several inches now.

    Thank you all for the info! What kind of a door lock should I get? I was thinking maybe 2 latches to discourage crafty raccoons but I'm not sure what kind would be best for the door that isn't flush.
