    Bump on beak/ face that’s not pox-y looking

    Hi y’all! I have a 8 month old satin that has recently developed a weird bump by her beak. Her breeder allegedly had her vaxxed for avian pox, and other than the fact that she is broody, she seems fine. Thoughts? Experiences? Enlightenment??

    What did you do in the garden today?

    I just sprayed neem oil on my flowers because they’re getting rusty. My tomatoes, shiso basil and bitter melons are sprouting so that’s exciting! I’m in zone 9.

    Silkie chicks DNA testing!

    Do you just send the down feathers or did you send in blood samples? With parrots, we usually pluck a good sized feather and squeeze the blood out of the shaft onto a sample strip. Curious to know how to do this with fluffy downy chicks!
