I feel the same!! Can I ask where you purchased? I bought mine 22 months ago, but it was hard to work with from day one. I also should have returned it- but I’m in Canada & ship to a box in the US, so it’s a pain to come and go. And now the border is closed OF COURSE! I just dealt with my clay...
I found this thread because I’m dealing with my own clay mass of PSP :he. I ended up cutting open the bottle and putting it in a mason jar. Now I measure out the product in a very small bowl & whisk it before fully diluting it. Totally annoying for the price!!!
One of my ISA Brown hens has started laying wrinkled eggs- every day. She was gifted to me about 6 months ago and has been a fantastic layer. Huge, dark brown eggs almost every single day. I know she’s older, because tiny spurs are starting to grow. I don’t know her back story. She does not...
I wondered that, too. Maybe she isn’t leaving him so much as trying
To show him how to roost. Our bars are pretty high. Maybe I’ll see about getting something intermediate and she what she does tomorrow.
Sorry, I missed coming back to check this thread. Unfortunately, the yolk wasn’t absorbed and chick didn’t make it. I learned a valuable lesson and will never do that again! I have eggs ready to hatch this week and I will be waiting, waiting, waiting!! Thank you for your help!
My broody has raised her one little chick with the adult flock (25 birds). Chick will be 4 weeks old in two days. Broody is showing signs of leaving him/her. Their nightly habit has been to settle together in the corner of the coop while the rest of the flock roosts. Tonight, she was up and down...
Five chicks hatched on day 20, which was 48 hours ago now. I have one egg left. I candled it and can see movement, and I’m guessing there’s some of the chick in the air sac because it’s not a clean line anymore. I can’t make out what part it is tho- it’s not like a clear beak. No external pip...

Can I spray my flock & coop with this? Also, I have a broody sitting on 4 eggs. Do I disturb her and treat her and all the bedding around her as well?? Thanks for your help!
It can be very humid but not constantly. Windsor is a good place to live if you want to experience ALL weather conditions ;). I admit I didn’t read long & bought a Yosoo Automatic on Amazon. Hopefully it works lol.
Hi from Windsor! We have 1 EE, 1 Hamburg, 2 ISA Browns , 4 Buff orps & 1 BO Roo :). Our incubator arrives next week & im planning to hatch out Buff Orps . Getting ready to expand our coop!
We are planning a 25’X40’ open coop inside our metal pole barn. I’ve been stalking this site for all things chickens and have found so much info!! My question is - can we safely use 3’ high pallet walls around the bottom of the coop, and then use chicken wire from there to the ceiling 9+ feet...
