My bad. Just realized I wrote my post wrong. I initially set them upright, broad end down and am wondering to leave them or flip? This is my 3rd hatch, I don’t know what I was thinking when I put them in 🤦🏼♀️.
I just purchased a used incubator from
a friend. I set 48 eggs last Sunday (8 days ago) and while adding water today I realized I didn’t set the eggs with the small end down. Should I leave them be or flip them? Will this affect my hatch if flipped on day 8?
As I stated, it is set that way because the programming is off. It was not actually at 113. They are hatching now a few days late and doing very well. Thank you.
I have eggs that are on day 21, one chick hatched today and none of the others have pipped so I decided to quickly candle them. Before going into lockdown all air cells looked good. However, today one of them has moved to the side of the egg and shrunken. Is this due to the hatched chick...
My incubator is set to 45 celsius and my the separate thermometer I have in there says 90 degrees, so one is way off. I have the Janoel12 incubator and so far am not liking it due to these programming issues. I had the incubator set to 37.5 but the eggs themselves felt not warm enough, which is...
That’s what I’m thinking. Moving freely, and the difference in candling is drastic, this chick was moving on it’s own like crazy just yesterday, if only I could post the video. Makes me sad.
These photos are all of the same egg. Temp is at 90 and humidity has been high. I am having trouble with that, around 82% which I’m aware is WAY high. They’ve been doing great until today and the drastic difference in candling with this one since yesterday has me worried.
Today is day 16 of incubation and I pulled my 3 eggs out for inspection. This one is normally my most easily seen and active one but I war very worried after seeing this. The other two are dark, thick shells and I normally cannot see through enough to watch any movement but they do have air savs...
