Today is day 16 of incubation and I pulled my 3 eggs out for inspection. This one is normally my most easily seen and active one but I war very worried after seeing this. The other two are dark, thick shells and I normally cannot see through enough to watch any movement but they do have air savs and development as far as I can see. Did I lose the chick? Is that a blood ring? It was moving like crazy yesterday, but today I can only see a black blob on the one side where I suspect the chick is lying, and the redish stuff on the other side. When I move the egg, everything within moves too. Help!

I see veining in all of them so I would assume they are fine. Temps and humidity during incubation? I wouldn't worry too much if they were mine

If the stuff inside is moving freely it's a goner.

Is that a blood ring I see in the 4th picture?

These photos are all of the same egg. Temp is at 90 and humidity has been high. I am having trouble with that, around 82% which I’m aware is WAY high. They’ve been doing great until today and the drastic difference in candling with this one since yesterday has me worried.

That’s what I’m thinking. Moving freely, and the difference in candling is drastic, this chick was moving on it’s own like crazy just yesterday, if only I could post the video. Makes me sad.

You can upload the video to YouTube and post a link to it here.

The less you mess with the eggs the less chance you have of introducing bacteria to them.

Thanks for your help. Do you advise I leave it in there or remove it completely?
