    So when the girls are 6 weeks old and i move then into the coop should i keep them inside just the coop for a week? Then when they have full run of the coop, do you kèep the food in or out?

    Thanks again for the info, I will have to make a few more changes to the coop. Im planning to move the girls in soon. Any more advise would be great.

    Thank you Jack, Looking at my coop i will put windows in the gable ends and put chicken wire as screen. Then if its not going to be a problem i will just leave all of them open year round. I will get them installed tomorrow so I will post pictures.

    Thank you for the great info, Im just trying to complete the coop. So in the winter months i will need 2 lights one for heat and one for light? I bought an outdoor flood light for insde the coop, so i i should buy another?

    Important Heat Lamp Question! *Pictures*

    My coop is 4 x 4 (I have 3 chickens) and i was wondering if a 40w light iside would be enough?
