Coop Design

My hen house is 4 x 4 and 2 feet off the ground, I have 3 nesting boxes inside the house. Im trying to figure out where to put the perch and maybe a window. Any suggestion would be helpful.......... Thanks

Just to let you know, I am stealing this design

I need a second coop and don't want anything big and this is perfect. With that said, you for sure need some more light in there. I'd say look into putting two windows in. My current coop has a window on all four walls. So I'd look to put one in on the wall opposite of the chicken door and one on the wall opposite of the nest boxes. But I really love the design and I will be building something similiar to this in the near future!!! Good luck

What about lighting? Its only 4 x 4 so do you think a 40w bulb would be good?
