    Thank you very much! I think she definitely had multiple problems. She would get so angry being held and would sit with her mouth open and breath very heavily.     She didn’t seem to be prolapsed. She actually hadn’t laid us an egg in years which could have also been a problem but we had asked about that before and were told that some hens stop laying eggs sooner than others. I think she had more than one thing wrong for sure. :(

    English Lavender Orpington (sex?)

    Here is one of my 5 day old Lavender Orpingtons! I’m also wondering their gender. One of them seems to be a bit more outgoing and braver than the others so I am betting it’s a rooster. I have read that Orpingtons are especially hard to sex so we may just have to wait until they crow haha

    I cannot even imagine that 😪that is awful, I am so sorry to hear that! And thank you so much for your condolences, it was just such a unfortunate series of events that I wish I could change but I am glad that I now know not to hold chickens in that way.
