I'm new to BYC and feed organic but I'm looking to see if I can find something a little better price wise... I currently have 36 adults and over 60 biddies.
Does anyone have a recipe they don't mind sharing for an organic layer grain feed? I currently use a layer already mixed but I'm wondering if I could save a few $$ buying the grains separate and mixing myself? Thank you for any help!
Thank you I have been using DE because I've been told my feed store and others in talking that DE takes care of worms and parasites. All other wormers I have looked into tells you to discard your eggs for a period of time and that concerns me for consumption of our eggs even after the waiting...
Sound familiar to anyone? I'm new in this and I have a hen who has been hanging around the coop for a couple days...I thought maybe she was going broody but then I noticed she was out and the other hens were picking on her. This morning she's fluffed up and you can tell she's not feeling well...
That's awesome...well maybe we can meet some place? The project pair you have...how old are they? What are you asking for them and the EE? No chance of something a little older you can part with hen wise? I would love to get one already laying. I bought my kids an EE last spring her name is...
Me too! Wonder why the shortage lol? I have one EE who lays a light brown egg...my luck lol! Recently I got a breeding pair of Olive Eggers but no eggs yet, only 5 months old so hopefully soon Ill get something :-)
Well now I see more people have! Oppsy! I'm new to this please forgive me!! So anyone got any colored egg hens for sale near Charleston/Johns Island area?
