Do you need to separate new chickens to a flock or can you just put them in with the others and let them hash out their pecking order? I have two girls that I got about a month ago and I was offered two more from the same flock, so would I need to separate them first?
Do chickens need to roost? When my chickens are in the coop they never sit on the roost they just cuddle with each other on the bedding. Is this normal?
