The last picture of my pullet turned cockerel before he is re-homed

Good luck to you! I will keep you (and your flock) in my thoughts and prayers. I hope it works out well. It is hard to lose a "family member!"

The last picture of my pullet turned cockerel before he is re-homed

@SwedishDude99 I would have a kazillion if I could. I love my birds! Never had them until about a year and a half ago, but they bring me so much joy! My neighbors have called the city because of a "smell" just to be vindictive. There is no smell. They are kept clean and free range. There...

@Pinkaboo I was very afraid of that, but count my blessings that one of my daughter's friends has other barred rocks and was willing to take him. (I threw in a bag of food as an incentive! hahaha)

    Hen or roo?

Thanks everyone! You all confirmed my suspicions, but I was hopeful. He's a good chicken and I didn't want to part w/him. He's so pretty to watch! My daughter has a friend who is going to take him, so at least I know he's getting a good home. But I will miss him from my flock! He hangs out...

    Hen or roo?

I have a 15 week old barred rock that crowed yesterday morning. I was told it was a pullet when I bought her. I have a mixed flock and this is the only barred rock. Can someone help me decide if it is a hen or a roo? ReplyQuote 0 Add a comment? (optional) Add to ReputationCancel
