We have five chicks now out of a possible nine - no sign of movement or pipping from the remaining eggs. At what point do we call it quits on them? It's day 23 this afternoon.
Left it alone and it did nothing all day, then at 8pm it decided now was the time and it zipped and hatched in 20 mins. Then ran around knocking around literally every other egg, before cuddling up to the other pipped egg for a nap 😂
If I take it out the humidity will drop to 50, nobody else has external pips yet though. Would that be okay or should I just wait I out 😅 there's a good cm between the shell and the membrane at the moment, worried about shrink wrapping.
This is the first egg we have hatched, can you tell? 😂
Is this okay? Pipped at some point in the last 8 hours, movement and cheeping but it looks like they didn't make it through the membrane? Humidity was 70 last night, now it's 60 😬
I'm keeping it at 45 but it has been a bit of a struggle to keep it there, it's never gone lower than 35 or higher than 55 but it's been ridiculously hot and then ridiculously wet and cold here 😞 I have a gauge inside that I can see through the lid without disturbing them though and if anything...
I'm fairly sure it's sitting stable, I'm going to add a secondary thermometer now to be sure though. We are having an issue keeping humidity stable 😫 all the rest looked fine but trying not to touch them too much - is it worth another check over or just wait the three days until lockdown to...
This lil guy had dark veins yesterday and was moving around - today they have all disappeared - should I remove from incubator? There's still some very faint veins but nothing like yesterday.
