This is from our AC Roo and gray hen a Cochin frizzle/Yokohama. I can only presume that it is from the Yokohama hen because I had zero white chickens before him.

My AC are pure, but not from a good line. My female was from a solid black/no mulberry(she was killed by a dog) left us a male and female from eggs we hatched. The Rooster had lotsa mulberry he passed on so…. Anyway, he was a good guardian and was also killed by that dog.

Most chickens grow them. It’s a species feature. The males will have SIGNIFICANT spurs. We trim our Silkie roo. His are noticeable…I put the little covers on them so he wouldn’t hurt the girls so much.
