Thank you! I wasn't going to hatch anymore until the spring but the eggs were gifted to me. They're 7 or 8 days old, I know viability goes down drastically at 7 days but I couldn't make egg salad out of them like my husband wanted me to.
@mlm Mike. No, they weren't shipped. Got the eggs from 3 different places, driving distance.
Wish I could blame the bad outcome on some thing else but I'm going to go with too high humidity and temps too low. ( thermometers were calibrated, had 2-3 in bator. Added calibrated hygrometer 1/2 way...

I did eggtopsies and there was a lot of fluid in the eggs...
Cute!
That's great! Just about finished with my first hatch in a turbo fan hovabator. Wish I had your stats!
Very pretty!
The hardware cloth on the bottom of the bator? Should have shelf liner or screen to help prevent injury and splay leg.
Thank you, I'm really excited to see what they end up looking like when they grow up. Unfortunately, I don't think the other two are going to hatch. Today is day 23.
I know what you mean. I'm in the middle of a hatch right now. Day 22 and day 20. 14 have hatched so far with 1 DIS, it zipped about 1/2 to 3/4 the way around and then there was a crack running down the shell. When I investigated the chick had moved towards the small end and suffocated. :(
So, my hatches aren't even complete and I'm trying to figure out where to get more eggs to hatch :jumpy or... Would it be easier to just smuggle some more baby chicks into the mix?:/
