Bad hatch and leg problems! MORE HATCHED!!!!

What type of bator are you using? Sounds like a styrofoam square type. At day 14 you need to open the incubator and remove the turner and place the eggs on the wire floor. Do not put newspaper over the wire floor as this is too slick and will cause the baby quail to have bad legs. Keep it...

    Quail Egg peeling machine (youtube)

Could find some old surgical tubing and slide it over dowels then mount in a frame, motorized or not.

    When to treat spraddle leg?

Add screen wire or small hardware cloth to the bottom of your hatcher/incubator, this will give them something to grip while their legs strengthen .

Looking for organic feed for quail

Anyone know if they sell organic quail feed from the mills? I feed about 400 lb. layer and 100 lb. starter a week so I would need an easy bag type feed or bulk. I prefer already mixed type feeds not something I have to figure ratios and mix together. Thanks

My breeders are 5 per pen and the pens are 2x2x1. My flight pen for mature birds is 12x6x32 and...

Need ideas on how to sell Jumbo Brown Coturnix Quail in Maine......

Some of your smaller farms are going in together to form local coops which members pay a small fee to join and then share the cost of inspection and related fees. Basically everyone puts their birds (games, chickens, hogs, etc) through a regulated and inspected processing plant / trailer and...

I think I like quail better than chickens. Anybody with me?

I like em enough to hatch 200-300 at a time, but either way when it comes to feeding them the bills just keep coming in..lol. So far they seem to pay for themselves somewhat. I like em so much I'm will to sell them to you too. lol
