The Cornish crosses actually don't live long enough to breed. If it's too big for its bones then the bones break- Kinmera

Most meat birds don't live long enough to lay eggs. I got some red rangers to try crossing with my orps and got 3 eggs in 8 months. You might want to try something like rocks or orpingtons or rir- Kinmera

The Cornell thing might be a county idea. I've never heard of it and DH worked as a Cornell AG agent for 15 years before budget cuts on the county level.- Kinmera

My experience shows that how well Roos get along depends on 2 things. 1. How young they were introduced to each other 2. How many hens are around. Each too needs 5-8 hens to be happy. This is also maximum fertility ratios- Kinmera
