I’m in no way an expert- but everyone on this thread told me to wait, and I did- and mine hatched just fine eventually. I think it might be different with chicks and ducks (which I was doing). Hope someone more experienced chimes in for you!

I have 4 ducklings that hatched in our incubator 4-5 days ago. I have a heat plate in their brooder box and I often see them cuddling up on top of it instead of underneath. They look content- not chirping or anything. They can all get in/out by themselves. Does it mean it’s too low/hot? When...
I was told (it’s my first time buying hatching eggs off eBay) that these were cayuga ducks. They don’t look like the photos I see online- with the yellow chest. What do you think?
They’re cute nonetheless, but my kids were excited about cayugas.
This duckling took the 48 hour things very seriously. I checked on him in the middle of the night, but it was still stuck. But by 7 am, exactly 48 hours after I first noticed the pip, it was out! The yolk sac seemed to be stuck around its leg but he worked it off and now seems normal and active...
Thanks. Still not much change. I took a closer photo. Are it’s legs supposed to be above its head like that? The membrane is very dry and leathery feeling. Still leave it? It’s been 38 hours or so.
