    It looks like,the area of her belly button or where the yolk was absorbed might be infected it's so red. I had one like that and dabbed antibiotic ointment on it.     I've had a band-aid on mine for a week and when I changed band-aids last night I checked him out and it doesn't seem much better if any. Is there a possibility it won't work at all? How long do you give it?

    I have a Serama chick with EXACTLY the same thing. I've been trying the band-aid thing but it's VERY hard to get it on the leg properly as small as this chick is. I'm still trying tho' and I'm determined to do my best. I don't know if there is a posibility of future problems if it doesn't work...

    OMG! That was just horrendous to watch! I'm a first time chick mama and I'm soooo careful about just picking them up to check their little bums! I can't believe that they throw them,run them thru conveyer belts, poke holes in the shells,etc. I'm gonna have nightmares now.
