Thanks for the info guys and gals. I have now had 22 eggs from 6 chickens in 5 days. I was also going to ask when it was safe to eat the eggs? Just took them off the starter grower the day of the first eggs.

I have 2 red sex links and 4 amberlinks which are white. They are all around nineteen weeks old. Found 7 eggs on day one, four the next, and 6 eggs today. They were all different sizes and colors. The thing that got me was about half the eggs had two yokes in them. What causes that and is it normal?

Im new at this so this may be dumb. Is there a brown sex link and what breeds do you cross to get this? Thanks for any help.

If they are dead when they arrive they say they will replace them. Also if they couldnt contact you on day of shippment they will not ship them.

No its not too late. I made an order yesterday. Some breeds are not available for a while but if your not to picky you can still order.

Thanks...thats what i thought but just wasnt sure. They also wont go outside, act like they are scared. Have to be patient i guess.

I new at this so it may be a dumb question. My chicks are 5-6 weeks old and i put them in there new coop 3 days ago and they just sit on the floor of the coop instead of roosting. Wondered if something was wrong or just come with age?

I have been on BYC several times and finally registered. I am from south central ky and got my first chickens about 4 weeks ago. Currently working on my coop and run. It will be a 8x8 coop with a 8x10 run. I just have 6 chickens right now but want to get more already. Just wanted to introduce...
