    Okay, thank you. I'm going to get away from the comp a bit and see if I can get him situated. I still need to find my little watering can for him. I dont think a 2 gallon waterer is needed for this one little guy.

    Heh, I have been chased by a deer, and as much as I am ashamed to admit, I have had a tarantula chase me up a tree. Granted I was ALOT younger when he did it.

    I will put a feather duster in there with him. My girls haven't gotten broody yet. Will he eventually fluff up on his own in the brooder? He looks so pathetic right now not being fluffy.

    what should I do about him not fluffing up. I know he is dry. I checked. the feathers all feel hard.

    Greetings and good morning all. Okay, I finally got my little chick to hatch. Sometime between 3:30 am and 8:00 am CST. However this is what I saw when I got up and checked on "him" He seems to be dry, but has gunk on him still. Plus, I am not sure what is going on with his vent area.

    An update on Pip, "he" has started zipping, however the membrane is white, and he seems to be having a hard time breaking the shell. Should I help him or let him keep trying. the humidity is staying at a steady 70%.

    what breed, and what gender?

    oh and the brahma never crows like the other roosters. I sit out in the coop regularly and have never heard him crow. but the others do....right in my ears most of the time.
