    Feeder Problems

About a month ago we got one of those long feeders with all the holes in it but as of late my chickens keep knocking it over, dumping all the food on the ground (I keep the feeder outside) and eating it that way instead of just pecking it out of the holes.. I'm wondering if I should possibly get...

    Fruit?

We have some cherries that we got from the farmers market that are kind of getting squishy, can I feed them to my 3 month old chickens for a treat? Maybe put them in a frozen chicken-sickle with blue berries? What kinds of fruit can you not give a chicken?

    Feeding schedule?

Bigger feeders. Check! They're free range and only use the coop at night or in really bad weather

    Question on Pullet or Roo?

We have 4 three month old Cochin chickens. This one we've come to the conclusion is definitley a Roo. None of the others have a comb and waddles like that one. And he's the only one that's been working on his crow that we can tell. But would like a second opinion on this one...

    Feeding schedule?

Wow really?? I did not know that! That's pretty cool! I won't worry about leaving food in there at night then. I'm somewhat of an early riser but I don't usually let them out until the sun is shinning on the coop, around 730am, but I'm up before then so I can start letting them out earlier.

    Feeding schedule?

Our chickens are about 3 months old. I've been just filling up our chickens feeder any time its empty (usually twice a day). Their coop really isn't that big and we put their feeder and water in the coop at night. I feel like they might be kind of squished in there with their water and food and...

    Cochin egg laying??

I have 4 cochin's (one roo) that are about 3 months old right now and I'm curious when (roughly) we might start seeing eggs out of them? This is our first go at having chickens and I've done a little research on their egg laying but would like to know when others started laying.

Pretty sure this is a roo??

    That's what we're thinking too!

Pretty sure this is a roo??

We have 4 Cochin's and I'm pretty sure our other 3 are pullets but this one... Need opinions

    Sex of Blue Cochin

Ok awesome. So then in the spring if we decide we want to have chicks, we'll just let the hens do their thing? And not pull eggs?

Ok so then if you pull the eggs and put them in the refrigerator right away does that stop development in the eggs if they're fertilized?
