I have some Black copper Marans, Creme Legbars, Isbars, Blue copper Marans and Welsummers..like 350 that are at 3 months old. I paid a fortune from many of the top bloodlines. Spread the word if anyone can travel and would like to purchase some very nice birds.
Welsummer hen is much different in appearance. For sure not one. Looks to be Easter Egger..no single comb or fester plumage identifies it as even a mix of Welsummer. From what I see in the picture..the dark colored legs eliminate it automatic.
Dried poop on the bottom of the chicks is serious. Use warm damp cloth..soften..then I use tweezers very gently to pull free to clear. Dab area with neosporene and continue process every other day until chicks are passing waste to ground. To get chicks off to a healthy start..warm Walter with...
Rule of thumb is to have about 4.5 square feet of housing and 10 square feet of run space for each bird. This will keep your birds happy..less stressed and healthy.
If it has any Maran in it..it is very little. I see brown feathering on breast..white primary feathers..and leg coloring looks off for its age. I would venture to say it is mate Barnvelder than Maran...and would say it is pullet
