    Does a light on at night for heat in my coop disturb the sleep of my chickens. I don't heat my coop but it is well insulated. The Arctic cold snap just arrived and they survived this first night just fine. Is the heat light at night just to make me feel better or will it give them some comfort...

    My most useful advice to get more eggs is to not Over love them. Wait till almost noon to let them out of the coop. Its oh so fun to interact with your friends but wait till they do Their Thing!

    Lethargic chicken

    Sitting around alot. had bad case of mites or lice. Dusted, my extremely cleaned coop.And my 7 chickens were dusted. Just one Chicken had the mites or lice to the extreme. Any homemade remedy to perk her up would be appreciated. leilani

    Yes it is the cookie tin deicer. The tapered light bulbs work fine. Then I just change the plastic ice cream tub every day, fresh water. :)

    My small flock have a insulated coop. I don't heat but the water. Our temps are plunging in Pa. Very, very cold tonight. Will my flock be alright since they haven't been in this kind of cold before. Thank u, leilani

    woke up to free range my ten chickens. My Henny Hen was lathargic and when she did walk it was slow . She ate warm steel cut oats now is just hunched up. Should I bring her in? Thanks
