They are both standards, both have fuzzy feet and legs. From a hatchery choice bundle.

I have a 19 week old pullet who won't put any weight on one of her legs. It started a few days ago as a minor limp and has progressed to where she wont put any weight on it, she falls over (catches herself with her wings and lays down) if she tries. She's now (since last night) in a dog crate...

I have 4.5-5week old chicks now who wont go outside until 8 weeks because coop still need some work but is still under snow....is it possible to keep new day/week olds with them or should I keep everyone separate?

They are supposed to be pullets, but it's my first time with chickens so I'm worried (maybe a little too worried?) about getting a roo because I can't have them here.

My chick kids are 3 weeks old today, is there anything giving away if these guys are hens or roos yet? Thank you in advance!

Mine came today! 7 Easter eggers, 3 Cuckoo Marans (hatchery sent an extra!), 2 Speckled Sussex, 1 Colombian Rock shipped from Mt Healthy Hatchery. They all are doing fantastic despite being shipped in 20 degree weather. My guard dogs are already working too.

Would you please enlighten me as to the difference between the heat plate and the heating pad other then one is obviously heating pad in a towel covered in press n seal and the other is a plate that emits heat pretty much the same way. Do they both not heat the chicks from the top by them...
