    Recommendations for backyard egg layers?

I love my EE's and they just started laying at 24 weeks. The two of them have given us 13 eggs their first week that is not quite over yet. Our RIR's have not started laying yet and are the same age at 25 weeks. I really think it varies alot from bird to bird. My EE's are a bit more friendly...

Should I have gotten my chicks vaccinated???

How necessary are the vaccinations? Will they get sick if they are fed unmedicated starter? I am definately a newbie! I have heard of a method where powdered milk is used but I really do not want to take any chances...any advice?

Will this thing work? LOL - Newbies need advice :)

I found out that the nesting boxes will bump out of this structure and not use any of the existing space. This makes me feel a little better. I will see if I can talk my reluctant husband into enlarging our chicken apartmentt into a townhouse or somthing...lol.
