    Roughly 8 week old Silkie, what gender or still too early to tell?

    Sadly just a few days ago we had 2 coyotes and a fox attack the chickens. we lost 5 of our hens, including the silkie which turned out to be a girl, and our amazing rooster. 😔

    Crossing my fingers this one is a pullet but I'm not sure. Never had silkies before and only got one from the feed store so I don't have another I could compare it to. Any ideas or still too early?

    Should I supplement heat? I live in missouri, my birds are fully feathered, and they have an enclosed coop. I have a heat plate that I could use for them but I was just wondering if it's a good idea?
