maybe you might want to check out the lumber area of Home depot.. they have a siding that is wood that would work.. and comes by the sheets of 4X8ft and could be ripped in half so you could use it for half way up the walls and you would not have to paint it unless you would like to keep it...
I am glad you asked .. I am looking for good ones too. I was thinking of the same size only I have to build it.
Not sure hubby will let me use part of his big shed.. not sure it would work anyway.
maybe you could paint it like the chicken coop on Hanna Montana's movie.. it was very colorful. I think each board was a different color and the door was a large egg. Have fun with it. Be unique! make a statement and the chickens will love it anyway.
Thanks from all of you. I am from Iowa.. just to let you know where I am from. LOL
I am learning a lot. spent part of the day searching for plans for chicken coops.
this is fun. Thanks again for your welcome.
thanks for the warning.. I guess maybe what would be a good laying hen? What would be a good size coop for about 12? Do I need a roaster?
I am sure I have more, but these will do to start with. thanking you in advance.

I have almost 4 acres and look to start out with maybe 6 to 12 hens. I don't even know if I need a roaster?
I have several books on chickens and am looking at getting chicken raising for dummies today...
