    Yes because chickens are diurnal (sleep at night awake at day) they may be fine with small amounts of noise, light movement etc. but try to keep it at a minimal, or you can put a blanket over their cage, move them to a different room or put them outside, hope that helped

    Free range chickens not laying well when I have to keep up - is this normal?

    Are they perhaps a bit mistrustful of the coop boxes, and laying in hidey-holes when they free range as a "safer" alternative place after being spooked by the snake and/or recent deaths.

    There waterer is full, but i dipped their beaks in and they drank, taking them out now for some fresh air, I think that was all they needed. :thumbsup:hide
