    How to break a broody chicken

    One of my JG, just went broody. I put her in a kennel outside of the pen. Put it up of the ground to get good airflow. It only took three days to break her. Now my question is, when will she start laying again? Thx

    My 6 months Jersey Giants are starting to lay. I have noticed about 4 soft shells off and on in the pen but no eggs. I think they are being eat. How can I fix this?

    Removing/trimming rooster spurs

    I just happen on this entry. I only have hens but I noticed thatn some of my hens have spurs like that. Is that normal? Can I remove them the same way? Thanks Lou

    Egglaying

    update on my PBR not laying. She is now 8 months old and so far I have seen no eggs from her. She could be laying outside some where, but I don't know where. She seems to be healthy. She is out running around with the rest of her sisters. She has a red cone. I guess I will just keep on looking.
