    one of my rodies attacked me!

    I'm pretty sure she's not a roo;she looks the the rest of them. she's always been stand offish even when she was a chick. right after she bit me, i flung my arm at her and she ran away. so, i guess that was ok to do. hopefully she won't do it again but i don't trust her. Thanks for the help

    occasionally i try to pet/handle one of the hens. today i picked a hen up and loosely held her close to me on the ground to pet her. she was fairly docile. then the tallest hen of my 6 aggressively ran over and pecked my hand pretty bad and tried to attack a second time. was this behavior in...

    hi, i'm in CT too. my coop is 4X6. do you think a 125watt food warmer bulb is too much heat/light in the coop or would a lesser watt bulb be sufficient? thanks

    Thanks for your reply! No, no problems with my chickens. someone i met mentioned it to me. it didn't make sense to give it to them but, i wasn't sure. glad i didn't take his advice.....

    Is it necessary to add duramycin to my chickens water? I never have done this. my chicks ar 23 weeks old.and they appear/act healthy. Thanks!

    I have 2 pullets that squat down right at my feet as soon as I enter the pen. I pet them when they do this. Is this some kind of friendly greeting or something else?
