    Free range to coop living?

My 2 two year old chickens have free ranged their lives in my large protected backyard. I'm being forced to move to an apartment. I have found a good home for them, but it is coop living only with several other chickens. My question/concern is this type of radical change very hard on...

    Hen attacked me

Yeah, she will hang out with me when I'm on the patio etc but she doesn't like to be touched either, but I was ignoring her. Maybe that was the problem...lol I'm just hoping it's not a trait she is going to develop into her adulthood as she is just 18 months. Thanks for your feedback.

    Hen attacked me

Just what I said in my original post....she has never been aggressive at all except this afternoon when I was filling water bowl, she flew at me, used her claws and pecked my leg. Maybe just a one time thing, just so surprising as she is a mellow girl.....

    Change in roosting habits?

Well, they do sleep in a predator proof hutch, my small yard has 9 foot fences and 2 pit bulls who love them. They free range on the patio, and the yard is covered with thick trees. My other 2 chickens I had before them, lived there for 8 and 9 years, dying a natural death. Nothing is coming...

    Change in roosting habits?

My 2 chickens that I've raised from chicks, have always returned to their roost/hutch to sleep. They free range in my protected back yard. The last 2 nights they refuse to go to their roost, just preferring to hang on the back porch. I cannot understand such drastic change in their behaviour...
