Today I found my first duck egg!! So exciting!! So, here is my plan for this spring ducklings. I want to incubate a batch and raise them so that they are very friendly but I'd also like the mom to be able to raise a small batch herself. I've been reading about needing to supervise ducklings...
I have a pair of Mini Silver Apps., and am looking into an incubator. So, how big are bantam duck eggs? Compared to chicken eggs, are they relatively the same size? I'm only looking to hatch a small batch at a time and I like the Mini Advanced Incubator. Here is a site about it...
Thank you all for your comments! I've got some better ideas now. I wish that some tanks would come with a drain (I bet some do, but I haven't come across any yet). Sean S., thanks for telling me where you got the plumbing supplies, because your draining system seems like it works well. Mainly...
Hi duck people!! Hahah, I haven't been on byc in ages. Just to refresh everyone, I am new to ducks and aquired my first ducks in October (a pair, m and f, of mini silver apps) from Holderreads and so far they are doing great! I don't think I will ever have them let me pet them willingly (ever)...

I will just experiment and use your guys' advice!! Thank you both! I just hope they will even try the peas, b/c if they don't, I don't have "any room" to work with! They didn't even eat their grapes and lettuce

Thank you for the advice!! I will try that! If I took some out of the freezer and let them thaw, is that the "way" to do it? I tried feeding them sliced up grapes and lettuce but they didn't even try it:p
