ya they are about two inches up from the bottom of a five gallon bucket sometimes they work fine other times they just keep dripping until the bucket is empty ..... i work all week so i was hoping to use the five gal. bkt so it would last a few days with a homemade heater under it ,,,the heater...- macchicken

anyone know what to do with drippers that keep dripping (empties five gallon bucket ) bought them at longhorns in buxton ,,the orange ones ,,, made a nice home made heater for it ,but cannot stop drippers from continuing to drip ,,,, did i buy cheap drippers maybe ,,,, please help ---thanx in...- macchicken

winter water issues --help!!!
hi everyone ;;; been real busy gettin ready for the deep stuff etc.. i was wondering if anyone had a cure for the problem i am having ..... went to longhorns and bought some of those orange pop in drippers ,and made a great five gallon waterer with a home made thermostatic heater to keep the...- macchicken

oh ya i meant to ask too ;;;; i've got these two little silkies ,,when should i intro them to the flock ?? the rest free range all day ,,then come home just before dark ,, whats my best plan for doing this ,,the rest are pretty freindly ,, plus i have a big goose that referees ..right now they...- macchicken

hello there ;; and good for you ,, i was just wondering what does a npip inspector do /? ,, longhorns called me today to tell me those comets i ordered are gonna be late they were due today ,but wont be in till 28th --bummer ,,but the good news is my two meat chickens --or so i thought started...- macchicken

so far we really like longhorns ,, we went down to order some comets and left with two silkies ,, they had alot to check out ,, honestly it took me back to my childhood ,, i hav'nt been to a place like that since then ,, birds everywhere ,, so far they have been extremely helpful... they are...- macchicken

howdy ;; just wanted to drop a note,,, and a thank-you,,, to you guys.. the wife and i went down to longhorns in buxton today ..wow they have some birds huh,,we put in an order for six comets(pullets) comin this week-end and we could'nt leave without two liitle silkies that somehow got trapped...- macchicken

hi again;; i just noticed the sanford chix/swap at the tractor supply ,, do you folks think that would be a good place to get my hands on some laying hens .. its about an hours drive for me so i don't realy want to waste the whole a.m. if its a bad time of year ... like i said i am brand new to...- macchicken

awesome ,i knew when i found this site you guys would have solid answers ,, thanks for the info ,, i was kinda thinkin they might not lay due to the stress of being abandoned .. they were terribly malnurished and dehydrated when we got them ,,but they are bouncing back with corn and some of that...- macchicken
