Hey there. I have nine chickens we are trying to decipher. Ameraucanas to be sure, but of the nine, I think 5 are roosters, which make sense. Still, I figured I would ask here since they aren't the easiest for me to figure out until they are all crowing (I want to keep 1 rooster for the flock)...

http://nocrowroostercollars.com It isn't perfect, they still crow, but much more quietly than without. As for eating, we ate too since we couldn't find a home, but he was much tougher meat since he got old enough to really fill out. Chicken dumplings and we still noticed it, so just be warned.

The birds you are looking for are Ameraucana for the blues and Marans for the dark chocolate. There might be some other dark chocolate ones, but I am not sure. The blues are Ameraucana for sure, but you can go for Easter Eggers if you want. They tend to be half Ameraucana and half something...
