    eggs getting smaller

    I have 12 red star 15 mo old. I was getting 6 large eggs and the rest medium size. The last 2 weeks all the eggs seem to be getting smaller.     unwanted birds

    The starlilngs found the way in thru the chicken door. They eat the chicken food and then leave. Any ideas on how to keep them out but yet let the chickens in. It is an opening at the botton of the door and now that they have found it I am sure the will return everyday. HELP

    soft egg

    I have one chicken, not sure which one, but about every 3 days she lays a very soft egg. It either breaks when she lays or I break it trying to pick it up. She is the only one having trouble. What else can I do,beside giving them the feed that has calcium in it?

    I have 13 laying hens. Six are 7 months old the rest are older. I get 1 egg that the shell is soft. Not sure if it is a young hen or something else. They are getting the proper food and grit. Any ideas?

    Finally here

    After 40 years of trying to convince hubby we needed to be out on some acrage, we finally made it. I now have 13 chickens -3 roosters-2 turkeys and he has 8 adult rabbits and many young ones.
