When the Maritime rain's began - we worried about the ducks being out there, especially when the winds would pick up. Amazed we watched them from the kitchen window, stand their ground, and act as if it was just another day. It was a relief to see. -

We live in Atlantic Canada and the winters are not so harsh as far as temps go in our area because of tidal currents over the Bay of Fundy but winds can be bad. For Lagerdogger. The first pic I posted the bird has more brown shades on the wings and tail. Also its legs are much darker as well almost brown too. The other two have more rosy colored legs. Not sure if thats a trait on any particular breed. I noticed the second one I hope is a hen has the...
