So for the past two weeks we have had our girls lay eggs one egg a day they alternate today we got a smaller one is everything okay with them? Photos included. Thank you in advance with the help our first year with chickens. Also side question we have two ducks same age as my chickens 19 weeks...
I do understand that the ventilation is there for them to keep dry and help make sure they don’t get it sick I have over 4sq ft and have four chickens at the moment will add more ventilation before adding more chicken my husband in putting in a vent fan this coming month to help with ventilation...
One blank wall will be the nesting boxes and my thermostat said it didn’t get above 75 in there I will add one if needed but I also am still waiting on the chicken coop door so that will also add more air flow and I am in Colorado I do have a across wind with both windows I have put in there as well
So my coop is finally done and before anyone says anything yes I know I need to get hardware cloth for my pen. Money got a little tight for my family this past month. I will be fixing at so as possible, but everything is ready for my seven week old chickens and ducks. I am going to have them in...
Yes but that one is a mallard duck. I believe Miss Lydia is right. We got them at Big R the same day. No she stand up more than our mallard (Quackles) this one name is Waddles
So this girl( calling it a her) we were told she was a Pekin duck, but her coloring is off for that. I am thinking more of a Buff Orpington Duck. I would love to know what she is. I know she looks a little rough but she getting her big girl feather in.
we aren’t sure we think she had a rough time before we got her. This is our first year having them but other family members have had chickens for years and said sometimes it just happens.
