An update on our fighter- over a week later, she’s still hanging in there. She’s actually shown some slight signs of improvement- she wants to eat some on her own now. She had a couple of really good days where she ate a scrambled egg and the baby bird food by herself and loved it! However...

I got some of the baby bird formula for her, so hopefully that helps her with her nutrients. Here’s a picture of her poop from this evening- much different from this morning. She’s still spirited and wants to stand (she doesn’t understand why she can’t, poor girl).

I'll see what I can find. I wasn't able to grab a picture this morning, but if she has passed any more this evening, I'll make sure to grab one. I figured it was good she was passing it for the same reasons- better than sitting inside of her!

I've got her propped up. She's had two days of antibiotics now and seems no worse. She seems perky and happy to see us, but still doesn't want to eat. I've been feeding her some Greek yogurt by syringe. Any other suggestions of easily syringe fed foods that have some good proteins and nutrients...

I'll get photos after work today. She is the hen from the strange egg looking material. I think it's been probably close to a year since she's laid an egg. I'm not sure how old she is though, as she was full grown when we got her.

Update for anyone who wanders across this, because I know people always disappear and never update! Her squishy crop went away after a day or so and she's been able to eat normally without having emptying issues. I have yet to try to take the bra off her to see if she can do it completely alone...
