    Shade for the chickens

    I reckon that chickens would like plenty of shade. Is having direct sunlight something they would want part of the time, or would they just as well have shade? I'm obviously new to chickens. I'm building a chicken tractor and I want to give my chickens what they would prefer. Thanks, Mark

    A.T. Hagan : My oldest tratcor is going on four years and in all that time I've never lost a bird inside to a predator. I have to let them out for that! The apron wire around the bottom makes all the difference. Good to hear.How much of an apron do you have? What are you using? Thanks, Mark
