    Definitely provide extra cover for the hen or get an extra hen or two (it may be easier to judge the purity of a breeder's stock by looking at the males), and give them as large a pen as possible both for the hen's safety and to help the male keep his long tail feathers in good shape.

    any color would be fine, I know in general they are the most reliable sitters. In the past I knew some exotic pheasant breeders that had developed strains of silkies that could hatch a golf ball. I would like 25-50 or so straight run day olds. Thanks
