Incubating eggs
Wow! What an interesting process.
It was like having a newborn , especially at humidity stage.
We were running 2 Janoel units (a 24 /24s).
I was very padantic with temp setup a few days prior.
Followed the instructions of water addition.
We candled , and found movement at day...

shell may be too hard - not enough humidity! its a balance too wet drowns them , too dry they will die of exhaustion trying to get out. if you see unzipping maybe mist a spray bottle on them.
Dont drown them though.
vent open , then vent closed in lockdown , BUT, dependant on humidity levels...
CA cal is easy.. get a glass thermom inside incubator.
see the real temp.
your incubator may be off .. eg - inside 38.0 / incub 37.0

add 100ml...

start over - do a temp test ..
you will need to calibrate it.
it may be at 35.0 deg display , but actually 37.0
glass thermometer to test inside temp.
Adjust CA + /- to compensate display temp.
yep...cover the unit.Your temps wont raise or fall because they are controlled - it cant get to hot from a setting. I run a temp test to start and calibrate it via the menu.. Humidity is a whole other story. All based on water amount and surface area. leave vent open , but if covered make the...
