    Southern Rensselaer/ Northern Columbia county here. Have a mixed flock but loved our Wyandottes and Partridge Rocks. I'm putting an order together from McMurray but can't handle all 25 chicks(the minimum). Would anyone like to split the order? They'll let you order single chicks from any breed...

    HELP PLEASE! Month old chick head pecked severly (graphic picture)

    Same thing happened to one of my hens last year. We isolated her and applied blukote daily for a few weeks to keep it covered. she recovered fully albeit with some minor muscle damage and scarring. Hope this helps!

    Introducing dogs to chickens

    I had NO problems whatsoever with my dogs and my chickens. The dogs tried to catch them at first, but quickly gave up when they realized it was a losing proposition.

    Hello from upstate NY

    New to the board, east of Albany. Proud owner of Mille Fleur hens (2) Sebright hen (1) and 3 (formerly 7) gorgeous Mille Fleur Roos. I bought 10 straight run chicks and ended up with 7 boys, so I gave away 4 boys. Now I need some ladies.
